Our colleagues in Leipzig have been awarded the CLAAS Supplier Award in the category Innovation.

Once a year, the CLAAS Group awards their best suppliers at the International Suppliers' Day in Harsewinkel (DE). The CLAAS supplier evaluation system takes into account operational as well as strategic evaluation criteria in the categories innovation, logistics, quality and service.

The International Suppliers' Day aims to improve supply partnerships, provide an outlook on CLAAS' strategy and honor the performance of CLAAS' suppliers. The GF Casting Solutions Leipzig GmbH was up against two other nominees in the category Innovation. They were awarded for successful substitution of a welded component by a single piece cast solution, called “Elbow" for a combine harvester as well as for other innovative ideas. The Leipzig plant has designed and manufactured a variety of other solutions such as cast wheels for the CLAAS Group.

With the Suppliers' Day, the group wants to develop from a traditional supplier relationship towards actively managed “value creation partnerships". Therefore, they collaborate with excellent suppliers who are well positioned to develop innovative solutions and master complex logistics and productions processes.
